SmartKnitKIDS Socks are a seamless sensitivity sock that have “No seams to bug ya!” These socks are perfect for kids with Special Needs or issues with physical sensitivities.
I have 2 kids who have ADD. As many people know, when people have ADD they typically have some other “issue” to go along with that.
Both my kids have sock sensitivities. They have to be “just so” with the lines on the toes, pulled up or folded the “right” way, and the feel of the sock on their feet has to be smooth.
My oldest daughter, now 17, would have these meltdowns when she was littler because of her socks. I had no idea at the time about sock sensitivities.
Honestly, not until I was introduced to SmartKnitKIDS did I even think they were being affected by a disorder.
Both of my kids loved these socks! My 11 yr old wore them 3 days in a row. This morning he said they are his favorite socks. There’s “no string in them.”
My 17 yr old says she really likes them, but she likes ankle socks and wishes SmartKnitBigKIDS had that option. See what I mean about being particular about her socks? She’s also the same way about her pants and where they fall on her waist/hips.
If you have a child with sensitivity issues, I would highly encourage you to purchase from SmartKnitKIDS.

ReplyDeleteMy son got diagnosed w/ ADHD about a year and half ago, and I never thought about it til u said it, but he's complained about his socks a lot. Now I see, that maybe he has a reason to be complaining, and I feel guilty. These might be just perfect ! Thanx for the post!

Thank you! I have the hardest time with these 'sensitivities'! Both of my step-sons are ADHD, and the oldest is really bad about these things! Both of my boys prefer white. They think only girls wear colored socks...lol.

Thanks!! :)
Mimi,
ReplyDeleteI laughed when I read your review! This reminds me so much of my daughter, Rachel, when she was little. She had to roll up her t-shirt sleeves just so and we had to cut the tags out of her shirts or it "bugged" her. She's turned out pretty darned good at age 21!! (but she is still VERY particular about clothes...lol)
