Duncan Hines Decadent Cakes and New Glazes Review

VarietyShot-highresI love to bake and typically go for Duncan Hines brownies. So when I was given the chance to review the Duncan Hines Decadent Cakes and New Glazes it spoke to my belly.

Apple Caramel First I baked the Decadent Apple Caramel and used the Vanilla Glaze. I thought at least Doodle would like it. Buddy really isn’t into “apple” desserts.

I won’t lie, it wasn’t my favorite. It had that boxed taste that I like to avoid as much as possible. It wasn’t terrible! I think it’s hard to find an apple dessert that doesn’t taste that way. It was ok, but didn’t go over big in my house.Apple Caramel

Sorry! It does look good though, doesn’t it?

Then we tried the Decadent Triple Chocolate, but instead of making it a “cake” I did the “extra” idea and make the cupcakes! Oh heavens, this was a completely heavenly experience!

Triple ChocolateUnlike making the cake, you plop the extra chocolate onto the top of the cupcake and when it comes out of the oven it is surrounded by the cupcake.

Then…oh then…you bite into it while it’s still warm and it’s ooey gooey inside! Tonight while I was making dinner, the cupcakes sat right next to me and I gave in. I put mine in the microwave for 10 seconds for that nummy gooey taste!

Triple Chocolate So, if you have to take a treat somewhere anytime during the holiday season, get the Triple Chocolate and do the cupcakes! No extra ingredients just the liners. You will absolutely have people raving about your dessert!
